A shift back to the May slot for the LOPF and the fountains of Somerset House were in full splendour. Room E5 in the East Wing was drenched with colour and happiness.
We commemorated the centenary of Craigie Aitchison CBE RA with a signature piece above the fireplace and welcomed Anthony Eyton OBE RA to the stand for a book signing event, the day before his 103rd birthday.
New work by Oisin Byrne, Neil Canning and Kelly Reemtsen caught much attention, and were complimented by works from our archive by Anthony Frost, Albert Irvin OBE RA, Vanessa Jackson RA, Sir Michael Craig-Martin RA and John Walker. |
